With a beauty agency YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO ANY SHIFTS FOR FREE! WORKING FOR A BEAUTY AGENCY IS CALLED FREELANCING. The agency will keep a cut for the wages of your work just for reaching out to you and being able to fill in the spot of someone that has taken holidays or has called in sick! I had a very bad experience with this agency. For my first shift they told me to go from North London to Blue Water! Outside of London! (I was younger and a bit naive about all of this). I went there for my first two shifts (I was supposed to go there for 3 days) . They kept the money they earned by having me attend!! They would use the excuse of... "using it as deposit". The shopkeeper at Bluewater told me to leave early because it was gonna get late and to not come back the next day because what what they did to me was unethical and a complete SCAM! There are so many other beauty agencies out there that pay minimum 10 pounds an hour and will help you with everything. Real professional people. There are tons of these successful beauty agencies. You just have to look for them. I am working with Beauty24/7 ATM!!! And very happy.

I wish I could write 0 stars. I came for my first interview and was only told to wear all black, the woman (now I know she is the manager) opened the door rudely and aggressively and told me to sit down and get her after I read a book. I read the book and called her then I was interviewed by someone else. I explained that I would change my hair colour if I was booked for a first shift. Which she approved with the manager, and I was asked to come to training the following Friday. Yesterday I arrived at training with other people there and after 5min I was pressured to interview someone else which is very unprofessional infront of others as well. Then I spent all day at training, only to be told at the end by the manager that she could not see me because my clothes where incorrect and I had a nose piercing. All this she did not pick up from the first interview or when I came at the beginning of the day, then she ripped up my application infront of me. I am disgusted!! If she had sent me home when I arrived I would of understood, but her disrespect and inhuman behaviour of someone that is supposed to be a leader in a customer service industry but does not know how to communicate respectfully or kindly to others is a disgrace! Do not wasted your time with this agency!

This is in my experience a great little agency and I couldn't recommended them enough . With practically no retail experience and none in fragrance they gave me the opportunity , I think based on my attitude and suitability for the role. The manager is good and Natallia , who comducted my interview is especially lovely . Thank you Star ????☺️ All the haters you don't know what you are talking about this was a first rate agency and the manager is a star in her own right.

So this is my experience with Star agency. First of all; I am no longer working for star agency and have no link whatsoever to them. They did not influence this rating so don't think that i'm just one of their puppets voting for them. I am a Tier-4 student and hardly anyone gives you a job and let alone in London? Forget it. So after 50 or more rejections when I got the call for an interview; I was expecting to be rejected. When I reached the place, Natalia welcomed me in. She was very kind and explained me the agency, the work and gave me some forms to fill. The interview with her went very smooth and she was not once rude or anything. Quite the opposite actually. At the end she told me to research the brand and to come in a black suit (which is their uniform). After some days; I got a call and Natalia called me for a group interview. Unfortunately, I did not have a black uniform and didn't want to spend that on just an interview so I didn't go in the uniform that I was told to. I went there and Natalia noticed this but just once softly told me that she told me to wear the uniform and I apologized and that was that. Anyways, the group interview went well and now it was time to meet the Manager Galilla who would test my knowledge and tell me about pay rate etc. Here is my comment about Galilla; She is very straight forward and comes across as rude sometimes. She is not known for her kindness but she is not supposed to be. You will hardly be interacting with her as its mostly Natalia or some other employee contacting you. Galilla was challanging for me and thats just how she is. She is the only reason why I'm giving this 4/5 stars because I believe that she is managing an agency that deals with customer service yet she doesn't know how to talk to people nicely. BUT, she is not a bad person or a fraud. This is just how she does buisness. Anyways, other than that they provided me work and always paid on time. Very professional and never missed pay date. When I left the company, my initial deposit was in my account without much problem. My P45 was in my email after a week. If you have a problem with them then please contact them and try to solve it professionally. They are good reasonable people. Love and respect for everyone at Star.

This is probably the worst recruitment company I have ever had to deal with. I went for an interview and met a rather rude female manager that had a demeanour and attitude about her that was offensive. None of her questions were relevant to the position I was applying for. Said she would get back on Friday and let me know if successful. It’s been over two weeks I’ve called 4 times to get some feedback as I figured it would be courteous to at least let me know . But no! Clients avoid this agency if they can treat potential workers this way I’m not entirely sure they will\can treat you any better.
